Shuffled down hill on the gravel road

Crossed the creek, to where we put up hay

Swear I could hear the Model A under heavy load

Where we busted clods, and harrowed smoothe

Planted corn and beans with the old Model A

Terraced the gulleys with grass so blue

Put in many a twelve-hour day

Old Mt Sad, it hasnt changed much

The winds and the rains try their best

To wash-out and gouge waterways and such

Farming Old Mt Sad, there wasnt much rest

But she stands there, as a pillar

A reflection of past gone days

Modern day quipment cannot still her
